This Christmas has been amazing for my family. We were given so many blessings that it would be impossible to count them all. This year we have had many set backs, one of the main ones being financial  We lost the over time that was making it possible for us to make ends meet. So for a few months it was really hard to figure out how we were going to buy any of the things that were breaking or falling apart. It was quite stressful for the both of us. The kids didn't seem to know, so that was a huge relief. But there were people that were around us that either were lead by the Lord to know we needed help or just wanted to help out and heard we needed help. There were huge bags of clothes for the three older kids, giving them clothes for the next few years; including much needed new shoes. Christmas was no different. There were 6 large bags stuffed full of gifts for the whole family. It was amazing. I could not believe it, Clif and I choked back tears as Santa and a helper passed out presents for the kids and placed them under the tree.
This year the presents just appeared and it was such a huge blessing, we never would have asked anyone for help, yet the Lord softened others heart and they reached out to us to help make the Christmas season a little brighter for everyone. My testimony of the Lords power to reach out and touch individuals and to share a Christlike spirit is so strong. I truly know what the Christmas season is truly about this year.
That is not to say our extended families didn't help either. They were wonderful to us. Sheryl gave the kids a whole box of toys and stories that matched each of the stories. The kids loved to hear how she grew up and how it was like in the olden days. My parents also did fantastic jobs in making it a special time. I loved the cassorole dish I got, it is large enough for the whole family to eat from. Clif got a toy flying helicoptor. He loves it and flies it around all over. The girls all got American Girl dolls and my mom made clothes for them. It was seriously an achievement. Adele couldn't figure out why her doll didn't have peirced ears. It was because Adele doesn't have pierced ears. Liam got some star wars figures again, and a really cool car kit that he builds cars with. He is excellent with them and can put them together with minimal help. It is so cool to watch him do things that he loves and do them by himself. He is really growing up. The whole family got a Wii  fit and games. It is really fun for the whole family, especially since I am getting too rired to go out all the time. What a wonderful time. I am so moved at how loved we are by those around us.
Liam with his new life sabor and figurine. Seriously? I think Star wars is over rated.
The twins love to craft. Any type of crafts, here they are with the kits to make jewlry and snow globes. They are going to have hours of fun with these things.
Adele got a shopping cart with a register and some bath toys. She still loves to take baths so it was perfect for her.
All the kids got pillow pets. They were a hit? Crazy that these things are so coveted in this house. MyraJean sleeps with hers over her body every night. Funny.
The girls with the American dolls. It will be something they treasure forever.
Liam with this car kit. It is not a baby kit either, he is so excited and works on them all the time.
These two pictures are from the Wii Fit for the family. I have to admit it is fun for me too. The kids beg to use it all the time. What a fun family activity.

Christmas Eve and Christmas crafts

Christmas is always a fun time at our house. It was a crazy time, since this year I worked over at Target during the holidays. So Clif did a lot more of the crafts than I did. But it was a great season. The kids did go see Santa but at the Sports store. I never scanned the picture in but we did get a great picture of the kids. This one is just from walking through the mall and I wanted to snap a picture.
The kids made graham cracker houses and had a ball. Clif once again did the crafts with the kids on his own. I am so blessed with how much he does with the kids.
The finished project. I love how they all used the same items and yet they are all very different. By the way when you count them there are 5. Delsa couldn't do one so Clif so graciously did one for her. Then he belly ached every time the kids touched his and ate his candy. It was super fun.
For dinner we had our traditional clam chowder. The kids love this meal. Then we read some Christmas stories and opened their Christmas eve gifts. They got great cosy blankets from thier Mimi with matching pillows.

Here is everyone lined up with thier blankets and pillows.

Clifs Mom did a 12 days of Christmas with really fun stories and gifts for every night. We got a couple of days behind and so on Christmas Eve we got to open a couple of gifts. One of them, are a really cool one was a quilt that depicted Book Of Mormon stories. So each square has a different prophet or story to tell the Book of Mormon. I want to put it up as a wall tapestry. It is the coolest quilt. She did an excellent job. Love it. The kids also all got dolls or a specific gift for Christmas eve. It was a very special day for our family.
What a great reminder of what the Christmas season is about. We had such a great night remembering our Savior and the wonderful season of giving this particular Christmas was. Our family has been so blessed this year.

Adele's 4th birthday

Adele actually made it to her 4th birthday. I didn't think that would happen some days, it's up and down and clearly I needed the exersise. We love her though. She is hilarious and very animated. She loves to go to the store, any park, hates having her hair done, loves dogs and cats. She loves to sing, at the top of her lungs. The funny things that she says keeps us in stitches. She is very petite still and is the one that looks most like me these days. I think she is such a fun little thing to have around. I must admit that I am smitten with her.
She wanted curly mac and cheese. I talked her into carrot sticks. She was so excited to get to choose her own dinner. I guess that is what you get when your the 4th out of 5th children. I mean what kid gets excited to eat mac and cheese out of a box? Funny.
She wanted chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. That went with the chocolate ice cream too. Clearly she is related to me. Adele is always looking for treats and snacks. The more chocolatey the better.
She got polly pockets, a skate boarding type that almost allows you to use it as a game. She got a princess memory game. Adele got some crafty stuff and these animals that collapse into a ball or pop open. They were pretty cute. Really girly without being too girly.

The kids all had a great night celebrating the sweet girl she is for our family. We just love being around her. She keeps telling us to get all the pink and purple stuff out of her room, she doesn't like those colors anymore. Then she tells us she likes red and blue. She won't go to sleep with the stuff in her room. Let me remind you she loved pink for so long that she has mostly pink stuff.
Sorry some of the pictures are a little blurry. The camera seemed to have a bit of issues. But she still looks cute in her pictures.

Christmas sing along with the Twins

Every year there is a Santa fundraiser at the school. So we went to the school and the kids sang songs, got to see their friends. I was so pleased. It was super cute.

 Best picture ever right?
I love my twins. They are so special. MyraJean loves everything about school. Evelyn may not admit it but she also loves school. They have made new friends and love the teachers and their helpers in thier class. They have both become so independent.
